There are numerous documentaries on the history of Las Vegas that tell the story of the frontier city’s rise to world famous American city, yet most focus on the celebrities, the scandals and the mob. Many Americans may think they know the “story” of Las Vegas, yet few know the private stories, the individual hardships, the memories and the successes behind the "story".

The Story of Classic Las Vegas is a two-part documentary that focuses on the diverse contributions that made the city possible. Not your typical celebrities-and-historians show, but rather the story of the town as told by the people who lived and worked in Las Vegas year-round. Starting with the founding families that arrived at the town's auction in 1905, we hear how Las Vegas grew by the people who lived there.
